And by some days, I mean every single day in China.
Things I like about this picture:
Marissa's formal boots with her running tights.
My fleece lined pajamas that add four inches in every direction to my body. (I had to take this picture from the side, because something wild happens in the crotchal area of these pants. Can I say crotchal? I just. Oh.)
Mariss rocking the tourist top from our Hainan outfits. Represent. Those outfits will never be dead to me.
The fact that we always very visibly hit this point every two weeks where it's like, "We need to do laundry."
(The fact that we still wait another week after that to start hauling buckets of water to do the laundry. We get SO creative, though.)
Things get hilarious when you're living in a foreign country one-on-one. Last night, we found this website and just abruptly played it in response to anything the other person said. And it never stopped being funny.
We have this really bad habit of sending each other really uncomfortable pictures of animals wearing clothes, for no logical reason. And it's something we both HATE. Like, why is this cat wearing clothes? Why are you sending this to me, when we both actually don't like cats at all? I'm vaguely certain it's foreshadowing for the future. You know. When we're 80 and living next door to each other, scaring neighborhood children with our cackles and the awful stench of FOREVER ALONE.
We've also started to get these hypothetical situations going on in conversation and just never let them die. Just these sarcastic scenarios that go on for years.
Also, I came in to say good night to Mariss the other day and found her taping a pen to a light switch and tying two of our belts together and then around the pen... so she could switch of the light from her bed, even though it was a solid four feet away.
Last night, I Skyped Marissa from the next room over, just to say, "I'm not saying I'm Batman, but I'm just saying have you ever seen me and Batman in the same room?"
CHINA BRINGS OUT THE BEST IN US.
I don't have social skillz anymore. Bye.
