Song/Moment of the Day.

Hi. I went to prom yesterday, and yes. It was fantastically fun. We'll talk about that later.
I am sicker than I can recall ever being, even with my weird attractiveness to strep throat every other week as a child. We'll talk about that sometime.
I medalled at state drama yesterday despite having no voice and in between rounds, had the funnest day ever. We'll get to that eventually.
I have this tender, weird love for the show Scrubs. We'll talk about that now.

So, the thing is, I kind of think the show Scrubs is brilliant. There are times it gets inappropriate, and no, I've never followed it chronologically. I can turn it off if it gets raunchy or isn't holding my interest - it's not to the point that I'm obsessive. It's just like this nice thing that's always been there. That show is sort of inspired. I realize that sounds messed up considering the content on occasion, but I have a history with that show. I happen upon it when I need it some days, and it delivers whatever I'm needing. Whether that is a laugh, a distraction from my own life, a super-deep quote, or a song I've never heard and almost always love. It is quality entertainment.

I find Scrubs to be the perfect blend of real-life situations, messed up musical numbers, A.D.D. segways into mental scenarios, deep quotes, and stun-you-still-and-make-sob-moments.

So. I was flipping channels, and I happened upon the last few minutes of the eighth season. It was the last moments of the last episode of J.D. working at Sacred Heart, his home for the past 8 years.

And I saw this. And I cried. Because it was brilliant. And it was what I needed to see today. And it made me laugh really hard, remembering what I'd seen, and then it made me cry. I think Zach Braff is sort of a genius. So. Enjoy it. (It's broken up into two, but they're in the correct order, and I think if you watch them one after another, you definitely won't regret it.)

"The book of love is long and boring
No one can lift the damm thing
It's full of charts and facts some figures and instructions for dancing

But I
I love it when you read to me
And you
You can read me anything

The book of love has music in it
In fact that's where music comes from
Some of it is just transcendent
Some of it is just really dumb

But I
I love it when you sing to me
And you
You can sing me anything

The book of love is long and boring
And written very long ago
It's full of flowers and heart-shaped boxes
And things we're all too young to know

But I
I love it when you give me things
And you
You ought to give me wedding rings
And I
I love it when you give me things
And you
You ought to give me wedding rings
And I
I love it when you give me things
And you
You ought to give me wedding rings
You ought to give me wedding rings."

Have an amazing day, yes? I did after that song. :)
